Willie Jean (Jolley) Norrod

Funeral expert services for Mrs. Willie Jean (Jolley) Norrod, age 88 of Monroe, were done on Saturday, Could 28, 2022 from the chapel of the Corridor Funeral Home of Livingston, with Bro. Chris Coil officiating the services. Burial followed at the Grant Norrod Cemetery.

Mrs. Norrod passed from this lifetime on Sunday early morning, May 22, 2022 at the Overton Co. Well being and Rehab.

Born June 14, 1933 in Barnes Ridge, she was the daughter and the 3rd boy or girl of the late William Corridor and Mary Alice Mullins Jolley.

Jean attended Barnes Ridge College and Livingston Academy. She accomplished her Masters diploma in education at Tennessee Technological University. She taught kindergarten, to start with and second grades at Monroe Elementary and A.H. Roberts Elementary.

She cherished observing the bulb mild up! An avid reader, in particular of community heritage, she beloved volunteering at the Historical Society and talking about what she had learned.

Quilting, crocheting, and tatting were being hobbies she loved and she attended quilting get-togethers at the Monroe Group Heart.

Survivors involve her husband of 70 many years, James Donald Norrod a single daughter, Sheila White three sons, David Norrod, Bryan Norrod, and Rick Norrod and his spouse Gail two granddaughters, Shauna Hargis and Emily (Jeremy) McLearan three great grandsons, Wade Hargis, Myles McLearan, and Maddox McLearan one particular sister, Shirley Garrett four brothers, Joe Melton, Rex Melton, Kendrick Melton, and Roy Hugh Melton and a host of other loved ones and close friends.
